I have made a few tweaks to MMSDiary to allow me to post MMS photos directly from my mobile phone to a photoblog .
Originally photos were posted to this main page through some iframe trickery. I came to the conclusion that I really didn’t like having pics here – it was more an experiment in seeing what is technically possible than an outlet for supressed photographic aptitude. The site was borked beyond recognition in IE for a good while. And as I don’t have a chance to look at things in IE – or really have any inclination to I’ve hopefully got a compromise cross-browser site again.
I tried a method of uploading the images to Gallery via email but this doesn’t seem to work with recent versions of python.
One bonus with the solution I have employed is that the messages are handled through a PHP mock-MMS-server rather than the network operator. This means call costs are limited to the GPRS data connection rather than the inflated flat rate usually charged per MMS message.
