Monkeys Show Sense Of Fairness, Study Says

Researchers studying brown capuchin monkeys (Cebus apella) have found that the highly social, cooperative species native to South America show a sense of fairness, the first time such behavior has been documented in a species other than humans.

Could it be that a highly competitive society organised to benefit the few is not only socially abnormal, but against innate biological norms as well. An interesting article in National Geographic shows how a cooperative primate species show some egalatarian tendencies – watch out for those commie chimps, I tell you.
