I had my sunglasses with me in Barcelona – for all the use I had from them.
For Easter, I was in Cumbria and a glorious weekend it was too – right sunglass weather, by all accounts. Myself – between updating the folks PC (Upgrading from a P2 500 to an Athlon 1400 – with a very noticeable speed boost) and sorting the plumbing, I was hardly out. Until I was on the way home, a snapped accelerator cable allowed me an enforced hour or two to enjoy the Lake District (spending the best part of that time pacing besides my car waiting for the RAC recovery service). Still it gave me a chance to appreciate how lucky I am to belong to such a gloriously beautiful part of the world.
If you are going to break down – much better to be in the Lakes with spectacular views over Morecambe Bay than on a smoggy M53 or by Birkenhead’s dockside.
